Darkpool IDO Update
After careful consideration, the Darkpool dev team have decided to put their IDO on Hold. Darkpool will no longer launch their IDO in June.
Ergopad strives to create balanced tokenomics that support teams enough to successfully build their projects, but also to not ask for too much from the community that are impacted by recent market conditions. After Ergopad proposed adjustments to Darkpool’s tokenomics for current market conditions, the Darkpool team decided that the expected raise would not allow them to build the game they promised the community, and that it made sense to put the IDO on pause for the time being. Again, we’d want to express our appreciation to the Darkpool team for their tireless efforts and contributions to us and the Ergo Ecosystem. They’ve been working really hard and putting up significant effort to produce as much content as possible to further build their project, and they’ll continue to do so in their freetime.
Despite the fact that this is not the outcome we had hoped for, our strategic priorities remain unchanged, and we remain focused on the ErgoPad community. While discussions with the Darkpool team indicated a delay in their IDO schedule, we reached out to some of the Ergohack teams to see if their progress would be served by doing an IDO on short notice.
One team answered the call. We are excited to share with you this surprise IDO that wasn’t yet official until today.
Introducing Swamp Audio:
Swamp.audio is a music publisher which has been distributing audio in legacy media markets for a decade and represents an ever-growing catalog of music and a roster of artists in the rights management space. The goals of swamp music are simple: make life better for the artists/musicians, and bring diverse ideas and people together to improve royalty tracking and create stronger communities in the music industry. Swamp Audio is currently developing an open-source framework to replace existing legacy media monetization and management platforms, harnessing the power of blockchain and Ergo.
They are currently developing new types of NFT minting schemas for more dynamic use cases of NFTs for artists, including on-chain royalty management of multiple assets in a pack or hierarchy of ownership. The goals are ‘to lessen the grey area and connect the dots’ of the legal rights of ownership and non-fungible digital media. They plan on contributing all they have discovered as an open-source platform to be forked by anyone who wants to run their own media publishing system, while running their own layer-2 model for DAO music distribution.
Their future goal is including more dynamic UI to become more of a ‘web app’ music player with drag and drop functionality and playlist ability for fans — with the potential to become an ‘IPFS’ Spotify, launching the patreon-style platform for musicians on Ergo, and becoming a royalties’ management leader in the NFT space by continually providing any discovered solutions free and open source to the community
